The Never Ending Quest - Episode 75064

Scott feels like he has reached a turning point where moving forward means
leaving the past behind. With the kind of past he has had, he does not
hesitate, but goes to follow the old man, smiling as he goes. "Hi" he
says, provoking a good natured chuckle from the figure. "My name is Mithir, and I know you very well, Scott Chen. Be not troubled by your past, for the tower cannot draw you in while you are sheltered by me. And, without its influence, your chaotic nature will diminish and you will be able to think with clarity, reason with purpose, and be the intelligent person that I know you truly are." "Thank you," is all Scott can think to say, as they reach a stone wall in the cave. "Um. Is this our destination?" "In a way," says Mithir, "it is." He then touches his staff to the wall, and a seam appears in the wall. It then forms into a door, which slowly solidifies into what appears to be an oaken archway. "After you, my friend." and Mithir points to the door. Scott walks forward, takes a breath, and turns the doorknob. It swings in easily, and Scott walks into a homey living room, a burning fire in the hearth. Mithir follows him, and the door closes and vanishes behind him. "Welcome to your rest, Scott" says Mithir, and pours him a tall glass of wine. "I will go get us some food, so we can chat. Have a seat" The room is not extremely large, but there is a nice sitting area by the fireplace and then a decent size table surrounded by cushioned chairs. The smell of sweet tobacco lingers, and the room is decorated in wood accents. Scott has a seat by the fire, and cannot remember the last time he felt so at peace. It is like he is a giant spring that is slowly, finally, losing its tension. He sighs, and smiles. He is asleep when Mithir comes back in with a tray of buttered scones and pastries. Mithir smilies, and covers him with a blanket. "Rest now, you who have been called chaos bringer and destroyer. Your time of peace has arrived." He then goes and sits down in another overstuffed chair by the fire, and lights up his pipe. "Ahhhhh... yes, Scott, soon you will embark on an adventure of a different sort." What happens next?
