Reaibn did in fact try to summon Furry Sara to the staircase room.
However, he should have and in fact did know that such an expenditure of
cosmic power in a chaos nexus like the staircase room would be highly
dangerous. Truth is... he was bored. He summoned Sara, chaos backlash, and the room exploded. Unfortunately for Scott, Josh, Bill Murray, Reaibn, Furry Sara (yeah she got included as well), and Mitchell (unceremoniously yanked from the library stacks), this is not a simple case of Scenario A. Instead, it is scenario D. Oh, you need a scenario refresher? I can do that for you. SCENARIO A: The Rubber Band Effect 1. Staircase Room Explodes, or Implodes, or Vanishes, or is Crushed, or anything else happens to destroy or Annihilate it and its inhabitants. 2. Chaos Nexus cannot truly be destroyed, so reality is warped and another staircase room is created and populated. 3. Net Result: Everyone gets really disoriented, probably a major hangover, but *poof* they appear right back in the room. Sometimes there is an extra person there, or one missing, or a slight decoration change. SCENARIO B: Clean Sweep 1. Same as #1 above. 2. Some strange variable causes the Chaos Nexus to want to re-create in a Pristine fashion, which means NO INHABITANTS. 3. Net Result: A clean Staircase Room and Tower. Sparkley fresh. However, all inhabitants are sent to random locations. As random as you can get. This is the kind of thing that results in Josh being chained next to Astra, or Reaibn working a McDonalds drive-thru. SCENARIO C: Mind-Screw 1. Same as #1 above. 2. Chaos is having a very bad day, or an Author is feeling insane, or both. In any case, the normal rules do not apply. For whatever reason, the Staircase Room and Tower, plus inhabitants are temporarily gone. Period. Now, they always come back, but for now, no more. 3. Net Result: New Plot, almost invariably a character shift as well. This scenario is also known as Plot Reset. SCENARIO D: The Void 1. Same as #1 above. 2. Crazy crap, it happen! Usually someone involved who is an additional chaos nexus *cough lots reaibn ben sirseeker dandanger mrqrygg cough* and/or cosmic powers being brought to bear on a grand scale. *cough reaibn you bugger cough*. In such cases, the staircase room and tower reform fine, but some people end up thrust completely outside of reality and end up in a void. 3. Net Result: This is a hard one to get out of. They are outside of reality. Aside from an author manufacturing another Scenario C and resetting the plot, they have to find a way out of the void. This is a great scenario for the looping episodes where they do the same thing over and over. Fun stuff. So, yeah, Reaibn, Scott, Josh, Mitchell, Bill Murray, and Furry Sara are in a black void. They can see each other, but nothing else. It is like they are sitting/standing/walking on nothingness. It is very disorienting. so...
