A difficult scenario

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 74967

The ultra-high resolution screen depicts Scott Chen laying on the couch, doing nothing. The book then begins to speak. "Motivating Scott Chen is a difficult scenario. It all depends on what you want him to do." Reaibn then quickly types in 'clean the damn room'.

"Ah, cleaning up the room" and the room on the screen gets all cluttered. Reaibn can see that it looks eerily like the room they are in now. "Scott Chen is highly resistant to any activity that resembles work, so this is going to be quite the challenge. There are, however, a few options."

A highly stylized 'Option One' appears in large letters, and then someone who looks disturbingly like Reaibn points a gun at Scott on the little screen. "Threats of physical violence, if of a painful enough nature, can sometimes get results." And on the little screen Scott picks up one item and moves it to another location, then sits back down. The other character then shoots his face off. "These things usually end in the murder of Scott Chen. However, since he is tied to the Eternal nature of the Staircase room, he will just come back, just as lazy as before. Therefore, this option is of limited use."

'Option Two' appears on the screen, and this time the little Reaibn is clearly using magic on Scott. Scott cleans up the room, then the whole thing explodes. "Using magic to compel Scott Chen to do work causes his chaos link to the staircase room to repel with an opposite force. This usually causes a large explosion. The staircase room will re-form, along with its inhabitants. Will you?"

Reaibn grumbles, then clicks the 'More Options' button.

'Option Three' appears on the screen, followed by large piles of gold. "Bribing scott is the best method, and sometimes you can use less than... valuable means. " the screen changes to a large pile of brine shrimp, provoking the little scott into a fury of cleaning rage.

Reaibn grins, then closes his guide. "Hey Scott," he says, "if you clean the room then.."

Then what? What is Reaibn's bribe?

  1. I will give you a metric ton of tasty expired brine shrimp! Scott excitedly agrees, starts cleaning.
  2. I will give you a shiny penny! Scott excitedly agrees, but doesnt do anything.
  3. I will guarantee you a hot date with Furry Sara (Reaibn has no way of arranging this)
  4. I will sell you into slavery! Scott, strangely, is still interested.
  5. scott does not hear Reaibn's bribe, he has taken an automatic drill to both ears, and ruptured his eardrums
  6. I will not throw your sorry arse out that window. (Yes, Reaibn sees this as a 'bribe')
  7. I will.. um... damn it... nothing. (They do nothing.)
