A Difference of Opinion

"I don't want to go too far," Astra said. "I told the other girls that I would be back for them as soon as I could."

"I think that was rather rash of you," Shara responded. Unlike the other girls, she seemed not to be in awe of Astra. "The dragon is sure to have stepped up security. There will be more guards watching them and possibly new magical defences as well."

"We can discuss that later," Fred said. "For now, which way should we go? Perhaps we ought to have a show of hands."

The other redhead, who was called Eunice, and the small darkhaired girl, Lisa, both supported Astra. So did Velus. Fred himself felt that he did not know enough about the dragon's defences to vote.

"Very well," Shara said. "I see that I'm the only one with any sense. We go back."

1. All goes well for a while.
2. Before long, Velus senses danger.
3. They soon get caught in a magical trap that none of them were able to detect.
