Astra did not know what "psychowatts" or "gigaelectricity" might be, but
what she had been told was clearly intended as a dire threat. Astra had
no idea whether the women were bluffing but, since she could not hope to
overcome as many as three when they were evidently very well trained, she
decided to bide her time.
She was taken through pleasant gardens and past tinkling fountains, before they reached a marble building even larger and grander than the one they had left. Entering this palace, they eventually arrived in an opulent room, where Astra was led in front of a vast throne that looked as though it was made out of solid gold. Her nightie was torn away (for to remain clothed in the presence of the Over Power woukd be blasphemy) and she was forced to her knees. Astra looked up at the figure on the throne as it slowly stood, and stifled a gasp. It was a beautiful woman, but a woman such as Astra had never seen. She stood fully eight feet tall and was completely bald. Unlike all the other women that Astra had seen here, she was not naked, but her only garment was a very short black skirt, apparently more a badge of office rather than intended to provide any significant protection. On her flat stomach was tattooed a strange symbol whose meaning Astra could not guess at. The Over Power fixed eyes on Astra which were a startlingly bright blue. "Who is this?" she said in a melodious but quite deep voice. "An interloper from Outside, Your Majesty," the brunette commanding the security detail replied. "She had overcome Clarissa in single combat before we arrived on the scene and overpowered her - with some difficulty, I might add." "She must be quite a fighter, then." "She claims to be a princess of Aqualaria. The legends say that in olden times they were great warriors."
