Evidently they thought that we women would be more malleable to their will than our men, but before long they will learn their mistake. Others of our menfolk are hiding out in the jungle."

"It's not safe to tell her this," Hippolyta objected. "She may not be a Xeon herself, but she could be a spy of theirs. That's more likely than that she's this promised prophet of Hypatia's."

"It's too late to worry about that now. If she is a spy, then I have already sealed our death warrants. But I like to think that I can rely on my judgement when it comes to someone's character."
