"What was that?" she whispered.

"That's Mirguam," Nalsa replied softly.

"What's a mirguam?"

"Not what - who. He is one of Sidaj's servants." The big lion paused and sniffed.

What a time to come down with a cold! Astra thought. Then she realized Nalsa was smelling something.

"She has sensed a disturbance here," he muttered. "He's coming to investigate the cause. They don't know there's two of us here. If Mirguam only finds one they won't know the other is here until later."

"Why do I get the impression I'm not the one who gets to slink away?" Astra asked sardonically.

"Female intuition. Anyway I need to set things into motion that will aid you later. Of course, if you would rather have me stay and blow my cover, just say so."

"So I get to stay and fight this big growling whatsit with my bare hands. Remind me why you are the good guy again."

"I didn't say you have to fight. Just deal with him. No time to get into the whole good/bad thing. Basically we're here to save the world and they want to destroy it."

1. And with that he slinked off, leaving Astra to confront Mirguam on her skyclad own.
2. They kept arguing until Mirguam appeared.
3. Astra ran off, forcing Nalsa to stay.
4. They both ran away.
5. But it wasn't Mirguam, it was Scott Chen.
