Fred moves slowly towards the trapdoor, not knowing whether it is booby- trapped or not. He opens it slowly, prepared for anything to come out, but all he finds is a dark hole with a ladder extending down.

  1. Does Fred daringly go down the ladder into the depths unknown?
  2. Go back out of the volcano?
  3. Or decide to go ahead and blow up the volcano and anyone in it.
