Bowled over

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 71863

In a small side chamber Nendi came upon a curious sight: A richly decorated bowl standing in a display case on top of a pedestal. A sign on the pedestal read:

Magic Soup Bowl

and below, in smaller letters:

Turns soup into water

Peculiar. This had to be the opposite of the legendary soup stone. (Which, according to Allarian legend, actually turned water into soup. This version of the story had been cultivated by a greedy king who refused to believe that his people were poor.)

But why would such a crazy thing be made in the first place?

  1. It's a symbolic memory of the Aqualarian conquest of nearby Pulmentaria. (Aqua=water, pulmenti=soup, get it?)
  2. A wizard did it. A mad wizard.
  3. It's reverse magic. Gicam, if you like.
  4. A minute ago Sir Toby found a new button on his server marked "Reverse plot" and wondered what it does.
  5. Nendi tries to find a clue by examining the tapestries on the walls, which detail the history of the bowl
  6. Nendi tries to find a clue by examining the tapestries on the walls, but they are all just dirty jokes. [71862]
  7. Josh Burbank steals the bowl and tries to make antipasta by filling it with macaroni.
