Fred still had the bottle. [71542] Alexis knew that she hadn't the
strength to wrest it back from him. And even if she somehow did, that
stupid rule that only males could make wishes would mean that she
couldn't use it. [71488] So she lay on the sand where she had finished at
the end of her tussle with Fred, and glowered at the two men.
As he watched the jolly capering of the hotties, some sixth sense made Robert turn round. He saw Alexis glaring balefully at him. Though it seemed that she was powerless to do any real harm, it made him feel uncomfortable. Perhaps it was time for a second outing for the wish that had worked so well on Fred? "I want you to make your first wish, Fred," he said. "Of course, Robert. What shall it be?" "I want you to wish that Alexis thinks that I'm wonderful and always right." "As indeed you are." "Of course, but she regrettably fails to realise that." "Should I make the same wish for Astra as well?" Robert's conceit saved Astra. "No. She loves me really. She's just playing hard to get. I wouldn't want to deprive myself of the thrill of the chase. Besides, it would be better to keep two wishes in reserve."
