The next thing he knew, Scott was seated in a Starbucks, with Krissy
sitting across the table from him. Fortunately, she knew Scott well
enough that the suddenly bewildered look in his eyes meant that the worst
was over. Nobody got hurt in the time it took to get Scott out of the
Scottish highlands and into the nearest Starbucks. Krissy snickered. "Hey babe, you finally came back!" Her eyes were red, but Scott had no way of knowing if she had cried any during the time that he had blacked out. "Y-yeah, I did," Scott finally replies. He notices that he feels much calmer than when Krissy had caught up with him out in the boonies. Hell, he almost felt normal for the first time in a long time. But, as long as no one got hurt, did a slight feeling of discomfort really matter? Where to begin...
