The Other Cat's Name is . . .

"Why" it sneers, "I am called Peerless Munchkin Overlord Bubstrophane III!"

The other cat obviously thinks it has a really cool name. So you play along. "Cool name, Bub" you respond.

"That's Peerless Munchkin Overlord Bubstrophane III, you upstart!" it retorts, lifting one of its forepaws and extending its long sharp claws. "I don't abbreviate!"

You remain unimpressed despite his bravado: "Peerless Munchkin Overlord Bubstrophane III? What kind of a name is that?"

The other cat smiles (although it's hard to tell because from a certain angle cats always look as though they are smiling) and emits an eerie mewling sound. Almost instantly you hear a strange high-pitched hubbub and a tramping sound. As the noise gets nearer you realise that it is the sound of hundreds of pairs of little feet and the singing of hundreds of childlike voices. Before you know it you are surrounded by a horde of short, fat, colourfully-dressed, furious-looking - Munchkins!
