Cute Monster Battle

Astra gripped her head as it suddenly throbbed with pain. "Get out of my head!!" she screamed. Astra was feeling her sanity flow away, and when she stood up she felt like someone else entirely.

"Forgive my insolence, Minotaur-san," Astra-chan said. "But I must collect your biological data to save my family!"

She removed a small, glimmering pellet from the pocket of her blouse and hurled it across the abyss to land on the minotaur's platform. There was a loud BOOM and the pellet expanded to form a monster from a minotaur's worst nightmares. The thing had the lower body of a small dog, the upper body of a gigantic preying mantis and the head of a mannequin with bleeding eyes and ears which yammered nonsensical phrases like "Pala whum non toon joo your capabowhooloo" for no apparent reason.

The minotaur froze in his tracks. "Grodotard! Fight for justice!" Astra- chan yelled and the creature dove forward, slashing at the minotaur with its razor sharp claws. He roared in anger and swung out with his hammer, knocking both mantis claws away and jumping forward to land a crushing blow to the mannequin head. But as the minotaur looked on in disbelief the damage to the head repaired itself like a balloon with air blown back into it, and the claws scythed out. The minotaur knocked them away and struck at the mannequin head again and again until a claw came from behind the minotaur's peripheral vision and it was all over.

"Good work, Grodotard!" Astra-chan beamed as the minotaur's headless body fell to the floor. "You'll be rewarded with an extra tasty Scoobie-snack tonight, boy!"

"Mnya mnya mnya mnya!!" Grodotard gibbered, skittering around on the platform.

"Now to Digitize Hakim the Minotaur so he can help me in future battles!" Astra-chan said. She produced another glistening pellet from the pocket of her blouse...

1. Astra-chan proceeds with her plan to Digitize the minotaur.
2. Astra's consciousness breaks through again and she screams clutching her head.
3. The minotaur's headless body rises from the ground. "You didnt let me get to the part of the story where I was cursed by the evil powers," his head laughs a few paces away.
4. Grodotard demands worker's comp and dental benefits.
