Rika's True Identity: Who Am I?

Rika was sitting down to tea with her two friends Tomoyo and Sakura. They had just bought some broaches. She opened the box and got hers out.

"It is very cute." Tomoyo said referring to Sakura's broach. "It was a wonderful little shop." she said while looking at hers.

"Let's take Naoka and Chiharu with us next time." said Sakura.

"Yeah." said Rika while she was pinning her broach on her school uniform.

"It looks good on you."

"Because you're so mature and pretty, Rika, stuff like that looks really good on you." said Sakura.

Then she looked at Rika, who had her head bowed, and asked slightly worried, "Rika?"

Meanwhile in Rika's mind scape
Rika's POV now

I had just finished putting the broach on and heard someone say something, but all of it felt somehow foggy and distant. Then I felt, something, intruding in on me. Trying to take me over.

I found myself in a dark place. In front floated... a sword?! It gave off a feeling of evil, and tried to attack me.

I dodged it, and quickly scurried away.

"Who are you? What do you want?" I yelled out, asking two of the most dangerous questions a B5 fan could ask.

Surprisingly, it answered.

"YOU." it said. "YOU ARE NOT OF USE TO ME. I NEED SOMEONE TO POSSES, MOVE, AND CONTROL. BUT YOU ARE UNSUITABLE. I CAN SENSE YOUR TRUE NATURE."

"My.. true.. nature?" I questioned. I was very confused. What did it mean. "What do you mean by that?" I bravely asked, gathering up my courage. "What are you talking about?" I demanded while glaring at it.

"YOU DO NOT SEEM AWARE OF YOUR TRUE SELF." it said. "INTERESTING. YOU BELIEVE YOURSELF TO BE WHAT YOU APPEAR AS. HMMM... DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE YOU ARE HER?"

"What do you mean?" I asked, my confusion growing even more. What did this... thing... mean by that? "I am Rika Sasaki!"

"DO YOU BELIEVE THAT?" it asked.

"TRULY?" it sounded somewhat curious.

"Who else would I be?!" I demanded.

"YOU ARE SUFFERING MEMORY FAILURE." it said. "I SHALL REPAIR YOU. AND FIX THIS MALFUNCTION."

It shot out a beam of light that connected with me. I gasped, jerked, and trembled. I fell to the 'floor' then. The beam of light cut off, and it hovered over me, not that I was aware, I was out cold.

"MEMORY REPAIR SUCCESSFUL. FULL FUNCTION SHOULD BE RESTORED IN A FEW MINUTES REAL TIME. I HAVE TO GO AND POSSESS SOMEONE ELSE TO FULFILL MY FUNCTION." it stated.

"PERHAPS ONE OF THOSE OTHER GIRLS?" it mused.

The sword faded away into nothing, leaving my body lying on the blackness.

Suddenly I was bombarded by images, sounds, smells. It was too much for me, and I screamed. I was overwhelmed, barely managing to hang on now to myself, my own true identity.

"I am Rika Sasaki!" I said to myself, over and over and over. I started to sort the images and saw... myself?! It was clearly me, but seen from someone else's eyes when they looked at me.

I saw myself playing in the park. I remember this from months ago. How could this be? Was someone watching me the entire time then? Did they watch me play right then?

Then the view changed as whoever I was seeing out of got up, and approached me. Wait... I don't remember this.

I watched as the mysterious someone approached me and said "Hello little girl."

The other me looked up and said "Hello. I am Rika Sasaki. Who are you?"

The someone said "Call me Mira. I want to ask you something. Do you have many interests, hobbies, friends?"

The other me blinked in surprise at the questions and said "Yes. I do. Many of those things."

"Are your experiences many and varied?" Mira then asked "me".

The other me nodded and said "I have experienced much in my life."

Mira then asked "me" "Your memories are happy ones, are they?"

The other me nodded, laughed, and smiled. "Yes. Very much so. I have happiness. I have friends who are my happiness."

"Good." said Mira, who then moved quickly and made a motion with her hand.

The other me looked shocked, and gasped out loud. She fell down to her knees. With tears in her eyes she looked down at her chest, where Mira's hand was firmly embedded up to her wrist.

The other me gasped for breath. She looked up at Mira with tears in her painfilled eyes, her expression one of pain, her eyes so confused and asked "Why?"

Mira just calmly said "Because I need your memories if I am to be you." She then pulled her hand out. She calmly watched. So calmly. No worries.

The other me, with blood running out of the gaping hole in her chest, said "You have killed me." Then she started swaying there. Then she fell over, quite obviously dead.

Mira looked into a mirror and her features changed to become... mine?!

Mira nodded satisfied, and in my voice then, said "A perfect job."

Then I became aware of the blackness of what I now knew was my mind scape area. I huddled on myself and cried. I now knew what I was, who really.

I sobbed bitter tears. "Oh my god. I'm the Mirror Card."

1. Rika can't handle it and has an emotional breakdown now.
2. Rika emerges just in time to see Sword take over Sakura.
3. ...and then kill Tomoyo. (DARK)
4. As two, but it takes over Tomoyo.
5. Rika tries to help, but is weak.
