On the solitary shore where no mortal food has tread in eons, a lonesome
dove cries. Its mournful call reaches out, through the multiverse, rippling
through causality. Out of the mists steps a man, blinking and shaking his head as if awaking from a long dream. Asleep a thousand millenia, Aerestes of Pedai has awoken. Mourn, worlds, mourn, for his sorrow shakes the foundations of the ages. On the deepest Floors of the Tower, ageless evils hear the cry of the dove, and tear apart their wings in rage. On the highest Floors, majestic songs are harmonized by the mournful cry, and beings of pure light weep for the undoing of all that Is. In a bare room, with concrete floor and a single wooden desk with simple wooden chair, Flagg hears the dirge... and feels fear for the first time in a hundred forevers. And everywhere in between, rage and misery, sorrow and pain are felt. The cry of Aerestes' dove signals the Undoing. No one is safe from where his feet roam. wow... this isn't great
