A Cell on a Grand Scale

When she came round, she found herself in a prison cell, but one seemingly intended for a giant. It was a chamber hewn from the rock, one which she estimated to be at least sixty feet square. Some light came in from a barred window in the door that was some thirty feet above her head.

There was a bed on the same gigantic scale. She could walk underneath it if she wished and have three or four feet clearance between her head and the underside of the mattress. Under the bed was a giant bucket that she assumed was supposed to be used as a chamberpot. She would have some difficulty with that, though, as the thing was eight feet high and had a similar diameter.

Was she the prisoner of a giant? Or, and she feared that this was more likely. had she somehow been shrunk to around one foot in height?

1. Someone speaks to her through the window in the door, but the angle is wrong so that she can't see who it is.
2. There is the sound of a key turning in the lock, and then the cell door opens.
3. Astra sees that a bowl of water has been provided for her that is large enough that she could use it as a bath if she wished.
