"Thank you," said Stacy. As they went up a couple of floors in the
elevator, she asked
Nielson: "Surely the TV company must have records of my address and phone
number?" "You're
employed as a free-lance, Stacy. They must have details of your bank
account for paying
in your renumeration, but that's probably all." Well, that would be a
start, thought Stacy.
If she could trace her bank, then the bank must have a record of her
address.
Meanwhile the elevator had stopped at the third floor. Nielson ushered her along the corridor and into a small office containing a desk, a couple of chairs, a PC, a phone and a locked filing cabinet. She seemed to be a tidier person than she had anticipated. There were no pieces of paper on her desk - or anywhere else in the office, come to that. "Well," said Stacy, "I've no keys for the filing cabinet. Let's see:
