Fred blinked. He was sure he had mis-heard the question.
"I'm.......sorry, what?" he mumbled.
"I said how do you think I should punish her?" repeated the sorceress. "I
am giving you an opportunity to choose her reprimand for striking me down
in my own abode."
"Twice."
"You are doing your maiden no favours as of yet, master knight. I advise
you answer quickly."
But now Fred was confused. "Wait a moment, I don't wish to get caught out
here. She could be back any moment."
"She is not coming back." said the sorceress simply. Her talismans seemed
to glimmer slightly. Fred's unease increased threefold.
"Alright," began Fred....

"I must insist that I take Astra's punishment in her place. It is the Knight's Code."

"I think a stern telling off would set Astra on the straight and narrow once more."

"You can hit her. Twice. I'll hold her arms."

"Perhaps there is some rare treasure in the surrounding desert we could retrieve for you?"

"Perhaps if you tie her up, gag her, and fill her head with voices she might see sense?"
