Astra went on: "You see, to explain fully I would need to explain to you all about my country of Aqualaria, about which you seem to know remarkably little. It's not at all like your own Allaria, where only men can be warriors. But to cut things short, all the 'scruffy adventurers' that we sent failed to return. So the task eventually fell to me. Now let's get a move on. We need to get you out of here, so that you can come to our aid against the evil woman who calls herself Queen of the World."

  1. To their relief, they succeed in leaving the caves without any furthur interference, Fred shivers when they emerge, for this high in the foothills of the mountains there is a chilly wind.
  2. Again Astra's torch is briefly extinguished. When it rekindles, they find that their shared bondage has been increased.
