Sorry, Mom and Dad

Scott let a heavy sigh out while fighting back tears. Why did he storm out like that? Neither he nor Krissy could help what had happened.

Finally, Scott walked out of the staircase room, and up three floors to Krissy's condo. The door was still ajar from when Scott had fled moments earlier. Scott knocked a couple of times, and he heard Krissy's voice break as she softly called out "Come in?" Scott felt the need to hesitate, or even turn back around and return to where he came from, but he knew he couldn't turn back now.

Krissy sat in the middle of the living room, while Sammy the cat paced around. The cat knew something was wrong, but he wouldn't come too close to his owner. Scott quietly walked in. "Hey," he said softly.
"Oh, hey."
"Look...I'm really sorry about earlier."
"Scott, I know that neither one of us could help what happened. It was totally out of our hands. I mean, well, not the sex, or me cheating on Roger, but what followed. You know what I mean, right?"
"Yeah, I do. Kinda." Scott couldn't entirely explain the bizarre turn of events, but it was in the past now.
"You're not weirded out now, are you?"
"Not at all, hon. I'm not sure why you asked, but no, whatever happened isn't going to change my opinion about you, or any, well, feelings I may have."
"Feelings?" Krissy suddenly looked up towards Scott, eyebrows raised, and on the brink of true happiness.
"Ummm...yeah, Krissy," replied Scott, unable to hide what he wasn't completely aware of before this moment.

After they embrace passionately in the middle of the living room, it doesn't take too long for Krissy and Scott to return to the bedroom. Sammy tried to nuzzle both of them once he got the idea that things were going to be okay again, but the humans moved too quickly before he could get close enough. That's all right, though.

2. Sammy interrupts any lovemaking going on. That darn cat!
