The obligatory webcomic reference

When it appears that Sara has nothing more to add to her strange statement, the policewoman clears her throat and states in an official manner: "Ma'am, I don't know who or what you are, apart from being darn cute (Did I say that out loud?), but you ought to know that faking a joke alert carries a stiff penalty around here."

Suddenly Sara notices a gleam in Josh's eye as he opens his mouth. Oh no! she thinks. She said stiff! He's going to say something filthy and get us all in trouble!

"I know a rabbit with a floppy ear called Kevin!" she blurts.

"How interesting," Josh muses. "What is his other ear called?"

Everyone groans. "Enough!" the policewoman snarls. "You are under arrest for wanton misquoting and reviving a 47 years old joke! (A man with a wooden leg called Smith, Mary Poppins, 1964)" How she managed to speak in brackets and italics remains a mystery to this day.

"She made me do it!" Josh protests. "It was a reflex!"

"I had to do it!" Sara points out. "This is Josh Burbank, he was going to say something that's illegal in twenty states including Nebraska."

Josh blinks. "What, complimenting an officer is illegal now?"

"WHAT??"

"I wasn't listening," Josh explains. "I was just going to say she looks good in that uniform."

The policewoman smiles. "That's nice, Mister Burbank, but flattery will get you nowhere."

"It got me into the Staircase Room."

"Never mind, you are under arrest for resisting arrest!"

"So if we agree to be arrested, we can go free?" Sara asks brilliantly.

1. Strangely enough, this works.
2. Furry Sara gets arrested for confusing an officer of the Law.
3. "Nice to meet you, Officer of the Law," Josh says, "I am an Officer of Chaos." He flashes his badge.
4. Flattery got Josh into the Staircase Room? *flashback*
5. Josh says something that is illegal in twenty states including Nebraska.
