The Lab Assistant doesn't attack

After telling Fred to prepare for death, the lab assistant just stood there looking confused. "What am I supposed to do now?" She asked him.
"What do you mean?" Fred asked, still scared.
"W-w-w-well, how do I kill you?" She said, barely getting it out.
Fred pondered what to say. "You, you hand me the weapon carefully!" He demanded.

She did so.

Fred didn't understand what had happened. Did the girl honestly not understand how to attack people? Was she that sheltered? Still, she had the intend of killing me... what should I do?

1. Fred kills the girl.
2. Fred knocks the girl out.

4. Fred leaves the girl alone and goes on his merry way.
5. Fred asks the girl to come with him.
6. Fred questions the girl.
7. Fred compliments the girl on her face.
