Fred's Gaffe

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 68463

"Excuse me, Your Majesty," Fred stammered. Then he saw his father wince, and wished that the ground would swallow him up. Too late he remembered that the Aqualarian system of royal titles was different from the Allarian one. In Aqualaria "Your Majesty" was not used and the reigning monarch was supposed to be addressed as "Your Highness".

Either Astra did not notice his gaffe or was too nice to correct him, for she did not mention it. "Yes?" she said, smiling at him. "I don't think that your father told me your name."

"It's Fred, Your Highness."

"Well, Fred, what did you wish to say to me?"

But whatever Fred had been intending to say had fled his mind.
Fred asked if he could serve Astra as her page and return to Aqualaria with her. His father was taken by surprise, but not opposed to the idea, since it should further strengthen the ties between the two countries.
