Whle dancing with the bunnies, Fred trips and falls to his death.
That's what you get for dancing on the edge of a volcano crater. The bunnies, deeply impressed by Fred's stupidity, erect a memorial in his memory. Strangely enough it is in the shape of a giant carrot. Well, actually it's not so strange because all rabbit memorials are like that. Before long Fred's memorial gets mixed up with some other memorial, and the dancing knight is conveniently forgotten. Years later Fred's soul, such as it is, is reincarnated into a baby bunny. After spending his first year or so on typical bunny things, Bunny Fred starts contemplating bigger things, and one day he asks his dear mommy (another bunny, of course) about the Meaning Of Life (tm). "Mother," Bunny Fred says, "What is the Meaning Of Life (tm)?" With a loving smile in the general direction of her inquisitive son, Mother Rabbit replies, "Carrots."
