As soon as she said those words of acceptance of her new life Freda
realised that she was committing to something that Fred could not keep to.
She knew that her former self was a man of honour who must fight injustices
where they are found. Even if the life as Freda was the simple option she
realised that the spirit of the honourable knight was in this body too deep
to be contained by the mere form it took.
So it was that she immediately withdrew the offer and determined to leave and find a way to carry on Fred's life and, should the opportunity arise return him to his proper form. So it was that, very much in Fred's spirit, she determined to lead a life of sacrifice.
