A knight rides into town

Just then Susan hears the sound of heavy horse hooves on the track outside and steps out to see the cause. When she goes out she finds a knight, in full armour, astride his handsome white stead.

The knight removes his helmet and begins to address Susan "Sweet maiden I would . . .", but before he can finish his sentence Susan lets out a little shriek and collapses to the floor unconscious.

When Susan woke up Charlie was seated by her bed anxiously mopping her brow. Susan raised herself up onto one elbow and said to Charlie "I have just had the strangest dream where I saw my real self before you changed me." The boy looked very shifty as her tried to calm her.

"That is indeed most strange" he replied "and of course must have been a dream". Susan did know that was the most logical solution, but something was not right about this.

Just then the door opened and . . .

1. Fred came in to enquire how she was
2. someone bearing a resemblence to Fred came in
3. a small dog came in
