"You look different somehow," Lots said. "Don't tell me, let me guess. New hairdo?"

Astra realised that she had over-estimated the intelligence of Lots and Josh, in assuming that they could distinguish between a woman covered in fur and a full-blown catwoman morph. Oh well, at least it meant that her fears about the possible effect upon their behaviour had been groundless.

1. "No, not a new hairdo," she says.
2. "Meow," she says. Oops! Does her cat muzzle mean that her vocal arrangements have now changed to the point where she can no longer manage human speech? She had managed to swear all right just now, though.
