Rewinding Slightly

"Ow!" Astra said, hopping around on one foot.

"What did you do that for, stupid girl?" Santa asked. "You didn't really think that I was going to blow you away, did you?"

"I think I broke a toe."

"Never mind that. Let me show you what this baby can do."

Santa carefully turned the rocket launcher so that it no longer pointed at Astra and then pulled the trigger. BOOM! A big hole appeared in the wall of the Staircase Room.

"Hey, that's marvellous!" Astra said, the pain in her toe forgotten.

1. "Now I have a chance to escape."
2. "Pass that thing over, please." Santa does so.
3. "Pass that thing over, please." Santa does so. Astra accidentally takes him out.
4. "Pass that thing over, please." "I'm having second thoughts. Perhaps it wouldn't be such a good present for you after all."
