Follow the Phantom

Fred turns to follow the phantom but he can't see it. He rushes back to the
mirror just in time to see its reflection disappear into a small crevice in
the wall. Luckily it is just wide enough for him to squeeze through
sideways, so he decides to follow it. He rushes to the crevice and squeezes
his way through the gap, shuffling and side-stepping as he goes deeper and
deeper into the gap between the rock. Up ahead he sees some gnarled tree
roots obscuring the way forward. They sway back and forth as the phantom
spirit swoops past them into the void behind. Fred is trapped from entering
the void by a large matting of tree root.
