The Never Ending Quest - Episode 6753

"Experiments?" asked Stacy. "I see New York's taught you to be cagey. Have you forgotten already that in a small town like Socorro we all know everybody else's business? Your lab assistant - I can't remember her name for the moment - told Melanie (she's my next-door neighbour) about your experiments, and then Melanie told me. Of course, after your initial experiments here, you won all that money, and then you could afford to move to New York, and I imagine you set things up on a much larger scale. Melanie reckons that the lab assistant - Susan, that was her name! - is still looking after the white rats. She says that Susan is really annoyed that you didn't leave a forwarding address so she could let you know how they were getting on. Apparently:

  1. "They still aren't showing any sign of ageing, but Susan thinks it might have affected their memories in some way."
  2. "They seem perfectly normal in all respects, so I guess those initial experiments were a failure."
  3. "Susan refuses to tell anyone but you what has happened to them. I guess that means it might be bad news."
