Ragan explains. She hadn't been in town at the time, but a visiting female
MIT scientist had had a horrible accident. She had slipped and fallen onto
one of the power sources for the array, being very badly electrocuted.
Her rescuers initially thought her dead, but she had pulled through. Assorted Universities Inc. had flown her out on a charted medical plane to somewhere or other. Medical bills were all paid. AUI had been completely responsible for her accident, rumor went, because of improperly maintained rails. Later MIT sued AUI out of it's socks, because the accident caused the loss of one of the brightest minds they ever had. Not the death, mind you, the smartiness (Ragan's word) of the mysterious woman had gone bye-bye. Stacy decides to investigate this further. What tack does she used to investigate?
