Astra is Comfortable

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 66872

Fred made sure that Astra was comfortable by picking up the book from where she had dropped it and reading on till he reached the relevant sentence. This read: Despite having fallen unconscious on the hard rock floor from the shock of reading about herself, and suffering from a nasty allergy, Astra was perfectly comfortable.

That sounded rather improbable to Fred, but he knew that anything that was written down in a book must be true. So he didn't need to do anything for Astra. He was relieved, since first aid wasn't his strong point.

  1. Astra comes round.
  2. Fred reads some more.
  3. Fred had also found a pencil in the library. He wonders what would happen if he crossed out some bits of the book and wrote in some new bits. (There is plenty of white space in the book which would permit this.)
  4. But then he remembered how one was supposed to be able to revive someone by applying mouth-to-mouth respiration.
