The battle was over. The Allarian Army had earlier been on the verge of
breaking, when rumours came that the Princess was to ride out and lead
the charge. Then the battle turned into a bloodbath as the loyalists
fought with redoubled fury. Altough the Princess never did show up, this
was the rebels' costliest victory of the war so far. Between both sides,

Fires still burning across the scorched earth of the battlefield illuminated the eagle and lion with a menacing glow. "What if they decide to fight?" "Well then, we'll smash down the walls and take the city," Zular grinned. "Of much greater concern is that a foreign power could enter the conflict, but I doubt Exotica is desperate enough to beg the Hespaniards or the Westerners for help.
