"I suppose that it could, but the person who told me about it has been reliable in the past. Now let us turn to the practical aspects of this. If your friend is going to be travelling with me, then people that we meet are likely to wonder why we are together. A minstrel normally travels alone. It would go a long way towards disarming suspicion if she could be presented as part of my act and join me in my performances. Can she sing, or play a musical instrument? Maybe dance, do handstands and cartwheels, or juggle, or even recite poetry?"

"I do not know. I suppose I could ask her. Our idea was that she would travel disguised as a Dunchovian herder, because the scarf and cowl that they wear would cover most of her face."
