Fred Attempts a More Subtle Approach

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 65919

Fred realised that, if he could not defeat Astra when he was in Belinda's body, then he had even less chance in Carola's, since the younger girl was three inches shorter [15670] and perhaps twenty pounds lighter than Belinda. The difference was even greater when comparing himself/herself with Astra, of course. He would have to wait for a chance to catch her unawares.

"Astra!" he called. "I couldn't tell you before, in front of Belinda, but I too serve the dragon."

Astra's hand had gone to her sword when she saw Carola (as she thought) walking towards her, but now she relaxed. "That is good, sister. I wouldn't have enjoyed having to kill you too. I had intended to slay only the knight, as the dragon had charged me. But the sleeping draught that I gave to you and Belinda must have been faulty. There's one thing that I don't understand, however. If you serve the dragon, then why did he imprison you along with Belinda?"

  1. Fred comes up with an explanation that satisfies Astra.
  2. Fred attempts an explanation, but Astra does not buy it.
