Josh was beaten on graduation day for something that happened when he was
really young. He was babysitting a neighbor girl named Jennifer. He
thought it would be fun to force her into the dryer and turn it on. An
hour later, when the timer went off, Josh was surprised to find just a
squishy mass of viscera in the dryer. So he made up a story about
Jennifer running away and cleaned the dryer out with some paper towels.
Then he unplugged the dryer. Josh's parents were none-too-smart
themselves, and thought the dryer was broke, and got rid of it. Anyway,
Jennifer had an older sister named Heather, still three years younger
than Josh, but by the time Josh graduated, they were in the same class.
Heather always knew Josh had done something to cause Jennifer's
disappearance. She was very popular and set about making Josh a pariah
in the high school. The end result being his beating on graduation
