Wakening

"I've just had the strangest dream," Gilda says. "No, more than a dream. I think it was a genuine memory of before. Please don't laugh, Hilda, but I think that I used to be one of those puny humans, and no more than six feet tall or so. I was a woman called Lady Astra D'Honaire from a country called Allaria, and I was sent to slay a dragon. Can you imagine - a feeble creature like that being sent against a dragon!"

"I'm not going to laugh, because I've had what seems to have been the very same dream. I can't say that I like the thought of having been a human any more than you do. But of course one of us wasn't a human, the dream notwithstanding. For clearly we can't both have been this Astra woman."

"True. Perhaps neither of us was, then."

Hilda replies:

1. "No, I think that one of us must have been. We're so close, that the other must have 'eavesdropped' on the dream. Maybe we should try to find this land of Allaria, and see if we can discover more about who this Astra was?"
2. "Yes, maybe it was just a vivid nightmare that we shared."
