Jeez, thinks Fred, did I really just say 'goodness'? Who says that? Only
weak little girls and total pansies say 'goodness'. Oh goodness me, they
say. I really hate those people. And I was talking to myself, too. Fred, upon resolving to never say...that word in that context ever again, stands up and heads resolutely back towards the portal that dropped him there. He discovers it is nearly twenty feet above the ground. "Well, this totally blows goats." Looking around, he sees a huge pine tree. Standing away to judge the distance, he decides that by climbing into the tree's higher branches would allow him, with luck, to leap into the portal. Failure would mean dropping twenty feet onto rocky ground, but he had survived falling out of the portal so he would probably (by his logic) survive another drop. So, what does Fred do>
