This isn't right...

The winged woman who'd been known as "Astra" in a prior incarnation just frowned as she looked at the outfits before her.

A long white robe.
A black, tight-fitting catsuit.
A leather bikini and a helmet.
A long black robe.
A short white coat with buttons all the way down the front.

She had a pretty good idea what each represented and what kind of . . . profession would be forced upon her. She'd seen similar custom outfits in plays, even if she cannot recall the exact details. More of a gut feeling, really. And those plays... not good ones at that, she somehow has a feeling.

Choose the long white robe would cast her in the roles of a priestess, and considering that she . . . felt no great faith in higher powers right at the moment kind of made her not wish that role. Maybe this role would mean that her past would be overwritten and a person would be born in her place that could . . . stomach it, but why risk it?

The catsuit, she feared, would put her in the role of a rogue/burglar. She was without memory (well, clear memory) of her past, but something within just rebelled at the thought of such a . . .dishonor upon a family she didn't recall (even IF her blood was no longer human).

. . .

Actually, she was beginning to really regret this whole deal before her. She really had to become so attached to the idea of being able to fly. This size was so . . .right somehow...

But whatever fate there was above had robbed her of this blessing.

No, while the outfit made of a leather bikini and helmet would suggest a warrior and that somehow seemed . . . right for her. However, she just felt that the outfit was somehow a VAST insult to all female warriors out there and thus wasn't going to put it on!

(Author's Note: Drat! I'd have paid good money to see her in . . .)

As for sorceress and healer in mind, frankly she did not feel that was a calling for her in both cases. The first one would have access to powerful magic, but it usually (almost always!) haled from dark sources. Not too religious or not, the ex-Astra did NOT willing to endanger whatever afterlife (if there was such a thing) on such matters.

Granted, there were actually SOME religions in her world tat did not have the concept of afterlife in them (concerned more towards what kind of hell the gods could cause in the present here and now), but that's by the by.

As for the other, the healer outfit, that AGAIN was something along the lines of a priestess only that the patron diety specialized in good health and healing of wounds. IN other words, she wasn't going to join if she could help it!

Sighing, the fairy looked about the place for any OTHER choices that would at least agree with here and finally notices a suit of armor - but one obviously designed to be worn by a female. (re: 7060)

1. "Now why wasn't that here a moment ago?" Astra asks herself as she chooses it, admiring the workmanship and quality of said armor.
