The Never Ending Quest - Episode 64385

Reika

Of course, this causes a bit of an incident, shall we say? Having an actual angel in the metaphysical flesh here in this offsite installation, how could it cause a problem?

. . .

Of course I see by now you are familiar with certain things about the anime which reflects my life one could guess the panicky results (or attempted results).

"Major Katsuragi, have you lost your mind?" I asks softly and slowly, walking over to the wide eyed Operations Chief (and present acting Commanding Officer) of NERV (Japan Branch). "Ordinary weaponry does NOT work on the Angels or whatever you'd like to call . . ."

"You mean the fake Angels," mutters darkly the young silver haired teen who's glaring death at the blinking major. It is rather fortunate that she CAN blink, given that glowing bolt which is hanging just mere inches from her face had not landed. Now, the weapon discharge from the young boy's weapon (an "energy pistol"?!). "Don't you dare ever try to shoot her again, you understand?"

The last was more of a statement than a question and the look was more than a threat. It was a promise. Add to this mess, I admit that this young man's gun is . . . to be that such things actually exist outside of that one horrid scifi movie I took in out of curiousity back when I merely was . . . a shell? Mother Lilith!

Well, for whatever reasons for the unexpectedly high technology incorporated into his weaponry had not allowed for the simple gesture from this real Angel from Heaven (!!) to have stopped the bolt from landing. The same gesture apparently had also inerted the bullets within Major Katsuragi's pistol, I would dare venture.

A simple gesture and nothing more needed. Bottom line, this red haired angel (who looks disurbingly like a member of the Astra clan) is NOT someone to take lightly or fool around with.

Nothing of man can harm a true Angelic being, you should know. That is a phrase that had been bantered about NERV from time to time, usually having being connected with some type of aspersion towards those who they called Angels, beings bent on bringing about the destruction of mankind. If not for the Eva units, creations actually made from and of the same stuff as those who'd destroy mankind, then the Angel Wars would have been done and over long ago! Nothing else we had at our disposal would have worked!

. . .

If we'd had to face this kind of Angel before us (a REAL one), then we'd have lost without even a whimper!

We're helpless against this one. Fortunately for US this Angel has no arguments against us.

She does have Tabris, the former 17th Angel (ala Neon Genesis), that silver haired young man "kicks it off" with delivering actually giving a Message from on High. "Prepare yourselves," he says in a solemn voice, after giving Misato one last dirty look. "The world as you've known it has already ended . . . .just not in the manner as interpreted and desired by . . . former associates of mine."

THIS was supposed to have been the final Angel who would have attacked NERV and get into it to initiate Third Impact?! Despite somewhat . . .aristocratic airs at times he seems normal enough. Yes, his appearance is odd but . . .still, there are a lot of people out there with even more outraguous appearances.

Must ask Elrondir soon just why he's kind of angry right now. It is almost as if he's objecting to that uniform outfit this Tabris is wearing?

"He didn't earn the bloody right to . . .," I keep hearing him mutter angrily under his breath.

. . .

Yes, must ask about that. LATER.

  1. You know, put aside rather unusual hair coloration, eyes, and skin coloration . . . it still might have worked all the same. As it turns out he was more socially adept at human interactions than I was (up until the miraculous intervention done for me).
