Andrea was frantic, she could hear growls and snarls, she felt icy stares
upon her person. She had no fire with which to protect herself, all she
had were these sticks and these stones...
Suddenly she reached for the stones and threw some into the jungle, there was a crash of rock and branch followed by silence. Andrea breathed a sigh of relief. And then she nearly screamed for from out of the jungle there came three bulky robed tiger-men! Andrea ran away from the monsters, but they ran faster! Upon catching her, they pulled her to the ground and the Lady from Allaria feared they would have their way with her. Instead, they spoke: "Hold on now," said one in perfect Common. "Running makes for a gamey taste, toots!" said a second. "And I want soft meat tonight!" said the third. Andrea nearly feinted... nearly. Instead she endured her capture and her imprisonment within bindings of rope. Soon the three tiger-men had built a roaring fire. The tiger-men spoke of roasting and of garlic and onions and of shishkabob. They spoke of pirates and how the humans would bring fresh meat to the tiger-men. And then all was ready. They lifted Andrea’s head, exposing the throat, they pulled out their knife... and then Andrea feinted.
