Fred assumed that when he and Astra were transported to the hotel room,
the corresponding paperwork must somehow have been seen to, but he felt
that he couldn't very well explain that to Exotica. It fitted in with
their being transported here by the Story Cops, who would surely see to
that sort of detail, but not with Astra's story of their being sent here
by the dragon's curse.
Before Exotica could respond to what he had said, Astra interrupted: "You snuck out? How old are you?" "Twenty." "So you are an adult. Why couldn't you leave the castle on your own openly? What are you: a princess or a mouse?" Exotica bridled. "I don't know how you do things in Aqualaria, assuming that you really are Princess Astra. But here the daughter of the king - his only child - is not supposed to leave the castle unaccompanied, in case of a kidnap or assassination attempt." "But surely you could defend yourself..." Astra looked at Exotica again. "Well, perhaps not," she conceded. "You aren't really the warrior princess type, are you? Anyway, never mind that. Perhaps you would be kind enough to go and arrange for some clothes to be sent here for me? I think that you might do a better job of it than Fred would."
