Eventually Astra got over the shock, and her wits returned to her
sufficiently for her to slide off the treaure chest lid. She crawled on
hands and knees over to the wall of the cave and, with its support,
managed to clamber to her feet. Now that she was aware of her revised
centre of gravity, by keeping her weight on her heels she was able to
remain upright.
With Astra's weight removed from the lid, Fred was able to force it open and free himself. Once he had done so, he only had eyes for the magnificent chest:
