He couldn't just come out and die in front of you, no - he had to wait until your back was turned and THEN, and then - then he just went and died. As if to say "I'm dead - what are YOU going to do about it?". Just the sort of close-minded sarcasm you would expect from him. Ha-bleedin'-ha.

You are quite angry by now and decide to desecrate Egon's body. It's probably what he would have expected you to do, but so what?

However as your boot makes contact with his head you realise

  1. he has booby-trapped his head with nitro glycerine
  2. he had sawn almost entirely through his neck. As a result his head detaches from the body and smashes through your kitchen window
  3. it is almost Wednesday
