See, this time around the Enterprise might just BE part of the problem . . . There is so much stuff we need to get on top of here . . . .

What in the FRELL is going on here exactly? Well, we're trying to figure that out right now, thanks! WELL, at least some of us are, anyway. Our group has broken up into smaller groupings here to tackle the problems that have cropped up here all at once! They seem all connected, somehow, to what we're gonna be tackling (our Quest), you know.

"I just wish that it wasn't happening all at once!" I mutter, glancing at the bio readings I get from the kidnappers who are still sacked out about our feet with a dragon sized tricorder. Satisfied that besides the rather DEAD remains of that one bastard who pointed that "displacement weapon" at Alan and Mina the others are going to live (but should stay asleep until Rei lets them awaken), I turn back to my little part of this "evolution". I'm going to see what my skills can do with MY gear can do in tracking down the Enterprise and the Dawntreader.

Oh, Inquirer had said that eventually she had a few ideas on how to extend the range of our tricorders sieht some other gear of we had to try and see if those two ships were in the immediate neighborhood (ala "off planet"). After looking into the situation in the IMMEDIATE neighborhood of Tokyo 3.

SOMETHING about this whole situation, she says, stinks to high Heaven. Where were these vaunted JSSDF which act (at the least) as a BUFFER between NERV and attacking Angels? With actual DRAGONS about, shouldn't by NOW at least make some kind of attempt to . . . to do SOMETHING about us?

But we haven't heard anything at all. No remote surveillance vehicles. No spotters from the distance hills with binoculars. Nothing.

Oh, Inquirer and Elrondir, being having been born in cyberspace and all that dren are hot with the computer. Yeah, really are. However, I have a few . . . angles they might seem to not have thought of here. They have very good analytical minds but I have something slightly better for this case: a criminal mind.

I'm gonna steal some computer time and resources from NERV! Frell, this stuff might just be early 21rst century stuff, but Elrondir had said that from what he saw in that anime had a combat unit being able to detect an object coming IN from lunar orbit to where an ongoing battle was taking place!

He'd also said something in passing about NERV HQ here having an altimeter built into it's control room for some reason that he did not go into . . .

. . .

Why would a facility built underground need an altimeter for God's sake?

Nevermind, I'll ask Elrondir about that dren later.

What I'm getting at here is that if a bunch of soldier types out in the field of combat where portability of equipment is a REAL factor have stuff that can do THAT, what goodies will I get my hands upon if I get into NERV with MY computer?

Should be doable with the tricks I've learned from Inquirer and Elrondir AND the rather beyond state of the current art of THIS world.

Soon enough . . .

Chiana was correct for the most part. Her intrusion into the system went undetected and the sensor systems she gets access to do indeed manage to track down the ships in orbit, previously undetected to this world.

1. It is just that in the process instead of it just being seen by Chiana, it is also being shown on the main screen of the Control room in NERV . . .
