Calling 'Da Cops

The high-voiced male on the other end demanded to know her address but Stacy hung up. And went to the Subway sandwhich store across the street.

She wasn't exactly sure why she wanted to avoid the cops but she did manage to. Or at least she thought she did. Didn't 911 have automatic caller ID? Of course, Stacy could have had Caller ID not blocked. But if she did, why did the 911 operator want to know her address?

In less then two minutes and ambulance and two cop cars pulled up to Terrace Apartments.

Stacy pretended to join in the rubbernecking from the sanwhich shop.

Fifteen minutes passed. A body was carted out (oh no) and yellow tape was put up. Then something happens.

1. One of the crowd outside the building itself points straight to Stacy. A cop walks over. Stacy stays where she was.
2. Same as #1 but Stacy manages to sidle out the back door and escape the cop during the moments when the cop stopped to let an ambulance by.
3. The killers are found and a gun battle erupts.
4. The apartment with the body explodes.
5. Stacy sees a double of herself head up the steps to her apartment.
