Dimensional Explorers meet Velus

The group continue walking through the cave, not saying much except for Astra's complaining of the stench. She is a warrior, but she is also a princess, after all.

"Oh for the six-hundredth and sixty-eighth time! This is a cave. Caves smell. Therefo-" N tries to explain about the stench to Astra, but sees a dog.

"A dog? In this cave? How cute!" Astra bends down and pats it.

"Stay back! It could be dangerous!" Shard warns, and Fred looks nervous. N just shakes his head.

The dog grumbles happily, but suddenly stops, as if he's realised something. Astra stands and steps back, wondering what's happening. She watches the dog write out a message in the dirt ground, with his paw:

M Y N A M E I S V E L U S

"Whoa!" N and Fred exclaim in unison, with Astra still silent, watching in awe. Even Shard was surprised by this.

1. Fred asks; "How can you write perfectly?"
2. Fred grabs his sword; "What trickery is this? Dogs don't know how to write!"
