And so our heroes were barking and yipping and running about the Shreken
mountains! Fred - the dark haired one, and Astra - the red haired one,
ran after Velus. The mangey Velus led the way, for he had been a dog for
quite
some time now.
Then the sky turned dark and a cold wind blew across the mountain steppes on which the threesome had found themselves. A bright light appeared as from nowhere and gave illumination to the whole area, and the three heroes saw a tall figure leap from out of the light. The cloaked person held a cocked crossbow - this could not be good. The three dogs tried to hide behind some boulders and bushes but the tall stranger found them easily. With but a quick aim, the figure zeroed in on the red-haired canine and shot the bolt of wood and iron. It pierced poor cursed Astra with a mighty THWACK! Fred and Velus, dogs that they were, ran and hid behind a shrubbery. The stranger lept back into the light and disappeared. After a while, doggy Fred and doggy Velus approached the dead canine Astra (even in death the Dragon's curse still held sway).
