Zombie Shuffle

Zombies were not an everyday kind of enemy in Allaria and so Fred was unaware of the creature's weak spot. He had lunged with his broadsword and sliced the creature in the side, the sword did indeed penetrate and some bile did indeed spurt therefrom, but the creature only fell down, and then got back up.

"EEEEEK!!!" said the maiden when she saw the undead creature rise up, turn around, and come towards them.

Fred whirled in a most mannish way, saw that the zombie was not dead - er, that while dead it was not destroyed. "Hmmmmmmm," said Fred. "I have an idea."

"What is it?" asked the maiden.

"RUN!"

And so Fred, Knight and official Dragon-Hunter, ran in the opposite direction from the zombie, he ran with the beautiful, naked maiden in tow. Once they were many tunnels from that zombie they slowed and finally stopped.

"So, Ass, where you from?"

"My name is not 'Ass'," she said. "It is Astral. I am from Califie, a land to the--"

"I know about Califie!" said Fred. "Great cheese!"

"Why, thank you," said Astral.

"So," said Fred. "What is a Califiean whore doing in the Southern Caves?"

"The Eastern Caves, my dear prince."

"Not east of Caemlyn," answered Fred. "And I'm no prince. I am a Lord, the son of a Duke."

"And I am not a whore - I am a warrior-in-training!" and then Astral began to sob. "But my trainer is dead! Eaten! by the Dragon! Oh, woe is me!" Fred held her most tenderly, trying to comfort the poor lass. "Will you train me in the ways?" she asked Fred, looking up at him with her moist eyes full of tears.
