Well, gurls was the slang for female centaurs (pronounced 'guhurl'), female upper halfs sticking out where a horse's neck would be. And lissing one was technically illegal in all known lands and Fred is sentenced to death.
The centaur, Neera Andrews, testifies that she didn't mind it at all but she was roundly ignored for Fred's hometown was really backwards sociologically and didn't consider non-humans well human. You know what I mean. Sentience deserved respect and Fred's people didn't give it.

  1. Fred escapes in a wild coincidence.
  2. The centaur people send five hundred warriors to protest. Neera has the right to choose her man.
  3. Fred spontaneously combusts on the witness stand. We now follow Neera. Rrrow.
